Initial Session: 60-minute session to get to know each other and begin building our relationship. We will review initial paperwork, food/exercise/body relationship history, and your overall goals in working together. I will answer any questions or concerns that arise. Specific treatment plan will be created on an individual basis. Fee is $225.
Follow-up Session: A 30 or 45-minute follow-up session to discuss challenges, barriers, thoughts, and feelings that arose throughout the week. Follow-up sessions are individualized and the topic of each session is client-dependent. Typical sessions include challenging food rules, setting up challenges outside of session, creating meal ideas and grocery lists, debunking food myths, and more. Follow-up sessions can be held via phone or video conference in lieu of in-person if necessary. Fee is $100 for 30-minute follow-ups and $150 for 50-minute follow-ups.
Grocery Store Outing: Client and RD will create a grocery list together followed by a trip to a nearby grocery store to purchase food items and address any anxiety at the store. This is meant to be a therapeutic experience to have support and guidance of an RD in an often stressful and confusing environment.
Restaurant Outing: Client and/or RD will choose a restaurant to share a meal experience with RD. We will focus on food exposure, pacing, mindfulness, and support in finding freedom while eating out! Client and RD will process the experience after the meal.
Meals and Snacks: This can be a part of any session! RD and client can work on practicing mindful eating or challenging some fear foods together!
*I do not currently accept insurance, but can provide clients with a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement*
