Philosophy

I utilize a non-diet approach in helping my clients recover from dysfunctional eating behaviors and make peace with food. I believe in an "all foods fit" philosophy, meaning there are no "good" or "bad" foods. We will work together to debunk food myths, break food rules, legalize all food, decrease food/exercise-related anxiety, separate the relationship between exercise and food (no, you don't need to earn your food!), and detach any negative emotional responses to food (cue guilt, stress, shame, etc.). I want to help you rediscover enjoyment in food, rather than stew in anxiety and preoccupation. Let's redefine what it means to nourish and move your body as an act of self-care and practice that on a daily basis. I hope to help you build self-confidence and trust with food and your body so that you can choose what is best for your body at any given moment without judgment. I believe in client-centered care, meeting each client where they are at and working together to free you from constant food thoughts. I would love the opportunity to help you find freedom with food. We need food for our souls to ignite!
